Web Gmail in New 44 Languages

Language plays a very important role when it comes to communication and therefore it is always said that you must know something about every language because it has the power to bridge the gap between two strangers. Google’s Gmail is certainly one of the most used email service around the globe and there are many ways to access your Gmail account. However, if you are not using your desktop or your laptop then the best way to get to your Gmail account is through using your phone’s web browser. You can simply type in gmail.com in your cell phone’s web browser and you have your Gmail account right on your cell phone screen.

Google has always worked hard to provide all the Gmail features to people accessing their account through their iPhone or any other Android-powered device. Currently there are almost all features like search, starred emails, labels and threaded conversations, but Google is going to make the Gmail much better for the global audience by adding 44 new languages to Gmail in their new HTML5 webapp. This is certainly good news for people who would love to view Gmail on their Android-powered devices and cell phones in their own preferred languages.

Earlier, Gmail was accessible to all users in US English only if they are accessing their Gmail account through Android-powered devices. However, Google will now add languages like Arabic, Bulgarian, Chinese (Traditional and Simplified),Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English (US and UK), Estonian, Filipino, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Hebrew, Hindi, Hungarian, Icelandic, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Latvian, Lithuanian, Malay, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, Urdu and Vietnamese.

If your iPhone already has been set to any of these languages you will see that your Gmail account will have a new interface and will be available to you in your preferred language automatically. Hence, there are no special settings that the users need to make on their iPhone, except the language settings. Apart from that Google will also provide some offline support, smart links and the ability to remove and add labels as per user’s convenience. Google has also worked on layout of the Gmail screen for people who will access their emails in new languages. The changes will be available on iPhones running on iOS 2.2.1 and above and also in all Android-powered mobiles and devices when users go to the gmail.com page on their browser.
