1. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

This is certainly the most anticipated video game of the year 2011. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is a role playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios. This is going to be the fifth installment of the game series and will be released towards the end of 2011. As per the information it is set to launch somewhere in November 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PS3 and Xbox 360. The game is about the land of Skyrim and the player has to save the land from the destruction.

2. Crysis 2

This video game can also be term as the best video game amongst all other video games 2011. The game is first person shooter video game developed by Crytek and published by Electronic Arts. This will be the sequel to the earlier Crysis game and will be available for Microsoft Windows, PS3 and Xbox 360. This game will be the first that will have CryEngine 3 game engine for better gaming experience. The game plot is set in the New York City in the year 2023. Crytek wanted to make the game look new and better and therefore they decided to go for a city plot rather than going for the same jungle adventure.

3. Diablo 3

Diablo was a big hit in the year 1997 when it was launched for the first time. However, Diablo 3 is the third installment of the game which involves horror and dark fantasy in it. The game is action role playing game where many characters from the second installment will make their appearance in the game. This time the game is set in a sanctuary and the heroes will have to combat the evil destructive forces that are present in the sanctuary. The players have total control over the game and they can select their character classes and manage different equipments as well. To make the game more interesting developers have also incorporated new characters in the game.

4. GTA 5

Grand Theft Auto has always garnered a lot of public attention from everywhere because there are millions of people who are simply addicted to this game because they can do so many things that they cannot do in any other game. Now GTA 5 is going to be launched in this year and it will surely create some buzz for the way it has been designed.

5. Max Payne 3

Max Payne initially received a lot of success but the second installment was not as good as the first one. However, Rockstar Vancouver has decided to come up with the third installment that will be more challenging and interesting for the gamers. Max Payne 3 is a third person shooter video game published by Rockstar Games for Windows Microsoft, PS3 and Xbox 360. The game was supposed to be launched in 2010 but for some reasons the publishers have decided to release the game in early period of 2011. The bullet time mode is still considered to be the best selling point for this game.

6. Mass Effect 3

Mass Effect is also one of the popular games that is going to come up with its third installment Mass Effect 3. The game has been developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts. The game will be available for Windows Microsoft, PS3 and Xbox 360. The story will complete the story arc of Commander Shepard and will have different variables from the earlier two installments. This will be the final chapter of Mass Effect series.

There have definitely been some problems being caused through some bug that stopped functioning in the right way. These errors have been included with the PS3 system along with many users trying to sign in to PlayStation Network all at the same time.

The repeated messages have been shown on screen with the error code. These signs have been a part of the usual error code that has also been displayed along with it. When the user tries to use a game format the error message keeps being repeated in the screen and asks the user to exit game.

This also comes when the user tries to set the time and date through the internet. Thus PlayStation Network has remained dysfunctional for some time with the setting of some bugs that are not allowing one to enjoy the game or even log in.

The scenario makes one aware that Sony would be bringing some brand new slim versions of PS3. This would be lower priced and would come at $299. This is going to be exactly what the current generation of PS3s would look like. The stores will be hit by these fresh models at this low price very soon.

Sony is showing clean cutting off in their economy to make way for some real systems ad features to reinvent themselves. They are going to make way for higher capacity hard drive which would be having space of 160 GB.

A leading mobile gaming developer says that they will offer fast, smooth and better packing for more than one player. Previously Microsoft’s Xbox 360 had an edge over PS3 as it ruled the movie market in the UK. Presently, Xbox 360 facilitates its users to download content on it provided by Warner, Universal and Paramount. Now with this move, Microsoft’s Xbox 360 might be left behind in the race of getting a head of each other.

It is also speculated regarding the Xbox series that it might not be able to compete Sony PS3. Reason there being, Microsoft will not be able to get the movie stuff from one of the leading movie studio which is Sony itself. The stuff from Sony is missing currently on Microsoft’s Xbox 360.

NBC Universal is the major studio that has already been working with Sony by allowing the PS3 users to download content on the PS3. This deal means that Sony PS3 users will be able to store and enjoy almost 4,500 TV episodes and 1,300 movies. The content that will be added by taking in Universal will include famous TV shows The Office and Battlestar Galactica, and movies like Milk and Role Models.

The deal between NBC Universal and Sony is yet to be announced. It is hoped that Microsoft too will come up with something new to compete with Sony.
