Blackberry Curve 8520 Review

Blackberry Curve 8520

RIM provides a good balance of quality and affordability with the Blackberry Curve 8520, featuring the optical trackpad. With this entry-level smartphone in five interesting colors, RIM blends together great design and performance. A closer look reveals the following:

Blackberry Curve 8520 Design and Quality

The Blackberry Curve 8520 has the traditional Blackberry look, similar to the Curve 8900. Above a full QWERTY keyboard, a 2.64″ screen is situated. The screen resolution is low for a RIM model at 320х240 pixels, but the screen is more or less clear (with some pixelation) and QVGA is average too. There is a plastic feel to the Blackberry curve 8520. However, the outer edges of the phone have a soft-touch finish, giving a good grip to the device while enhancing its appearance. On the left of the phone is a 3.5mm headphone jack and a microUSB charging port whereas the right contains the volume rocker. The optical trackpad is placed right in the centre, surrounded by four buttons: Talk, Menu shortcut, Back and End.
