Well, there is another one and this time none other than Sony Ericsson that has going to become the part of the app store bandwagon. The cell phone maker has announced that it’s going to offer its newly developed apps from its PlayNow Arena.

The cell phone maker has revealed at the JavaOne Software Developers’ Conference, that its new app store will be developed in collaboration with GetJar which is an independent app store.

This new collaboration is going to gift more than 45,000 new apps for the Sony Ericsson customers, and they will be available with premium games, music and movies.

This new store will not restrict itself only the handsets produced by Sony Ericsson, as it will also be housed in mother devices that can handle Javascript including BlackBerry, Windows Mobile and Symbian.

Bjorn Ahlberg, SE Content and Services Head, says about the new app store that they are happy to introduce apps for its considerable number of customers that will soon be able to get some really impressive stuff from their PlayNow Arena.
