Canon Vixia HF S100

Canon Vixia HF S100

There are many companies who seem to prefer making compactly designed SD-based camcorders these days, as with different flash related technologies, it has become quite easier to produce smaller versions than the models based on hard disks, tape and DVDs. Though Canon has been offering AVCHD compact models for quite some time, yet the Vixia HF20 and the HF200 have proved a lot handier especially in the offering of the Vixia HF S100 as well as the Vixia HF S10.

Features

These two models are capable for recording 1920×1080 60i video with the available f1.8 10x HD lens along with high-resolution ½.6-inch 8mp CMOS sensor and some other higher capabilities like SMPTE color bars that enables it to boost over 18db fixed 70 as well as 100 IRE zebra stripes along with control/button dial combo. The only difference between these two models is the internal memory; as the HF S10 is available with 32GB while the HF S100 with none.
