Motorola Xoom 2: What’s in Store?
Speculation is rife about Motorola Xoom2, the device that is expected to give stiff competition to Apple’s iPad 2. Moreover, with Google expected to absorb Motorola, there are great expectations about what Xoom 2 can offer. Photos of this device have been leaked already and users can hardly wait to know more. Here’s a sneak peek of the much awaited device.
Motorola Xoom 2 Design and Display
Motorola Xoom 2 is a sophisticated tablet, which is expected to be about 9mm thick. The iPad comes close, with about 8.8mm thickness, Along with Xoom 2, a slightly smaller 8.2 inch Media Edition is also expected, which will weigh slightly lesser than 1 pound and have a magnesium and aluminum build. Motorola Xoom2 is expected to have a screen that supports 16:9 aspect ratio. A microUSB port and microHDMI port should be present on this new tablet. With a pristine white body and rounded edges (reminding users of Motorola. Photon 4G), the build is likely to impress.
Motorola Xoom 2 Specifications
While Xoom ran on a 1GHz Nvidia Tegra 2 processor, Motorola has something new up its sleeve this time. Xoom 2 is expected to run on a 1.2Ghz dual-core processor, with 1GB RAM to speed up operations. Motorola may probably go in for a Texas Instruments Arm Chip processor, as speculations go.

This tablet is expected to use the Android Honeycomb OS. It is also rumored that it will contain a stylus and a keyboard case. This device is expected to be the first tablet to contain Adobe Flash Player 11. Netflix streaming in HD is expected to be offered on Motorola Xoom 2. This tablet will also be capable of wirelessly syncing to a personal computer. Connectivity options will probably include WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS. Hopefully Motorola Xoom will be a 4G LTE device.

Motorola Xoom 2 is expected to contain a 5MP camera lens. Supposedly, this tablet will be able to record 1080p video.

It is expected that this device will have about eleven hours battery life.
