High Profile sites’ DNS hijacked in New Zealand

If you have a sharp memory and interest in hacking and cracking, you may easily remember the hijackings of Comcast, ICANN, Photobucket and some other high profile sites during the last year. If you don’t know about them, nothing to worry about as these kinds of happening quite frequently these days and sooner or later, you may get across with such an incident.

And lo! The Peace Crew, which is quite well-known as a website defacement group, has succeeded to hijacks the DNS of some high profile websites in New Zealand. According to Zone-H, it’s a SQL injection in Domainz.net that based in New Zealand. It redirects sites visitors to page that features anti-war messages and Bill Gates infamous photo.

Various Microsoft high profile sites like MSN.co.nz, WindowsLive.co.nz, and Live.co.nz get affected with this huge defacement.

NZHerald says that MSN has issues a short statement this afternoon: “We have identified the cause of this discrepancy and now our team is working to immediately resolve the issue.” If it has caused some inconvenience, we are apologetic for it,” the statement also adds.
