For the rapid promotion of its web browser Chrome, the search giant Google has just launched an ad campaign on various TV networks in the US.
Chrome was launched last year in an effort to compete Internet Explorer of software giant Microsoft. Now with this ad campaign Google wants to draw public attention towards this web browser.
In past, Google has been avoiding traditional marketing for its different products in the past and its website often seems to boast that the company has become the world’s most renowned brand.
Google seems quite anxious to increase Chrome profile, in September last year when it was launched, it was expected that would see tremendous success, but so far it has failed to do something really remarkable in the presence of its competitors.
Net Applications stats show that IE is still ruling the roost with its 66% web browser market share while Firefox with its 22% market share and Apple’s Safari with its 8% market share are at third and fourth place. While only 1.4% meager internet users are using Chrome these days.
We have to wait and see for a while to find out how audiences respond to this new Google ad that has no voice and any other thing except Google logo wandering here and there.
This new campaign has also been designed to highlight the TV ads system effectiveness of the company.
