Google redesigned ‘Google Health‘, a personal health record (PHR) service with more user-friendly features. The features are more updated, helping users to focus more on wellness and fitness. The PHR service of Google was first time launched about two and a half years ago as a platform for all consumers to organize their health related information such as organizing medical records, feeding the prescriptions data and also the data of immunization and ones health condition.
Since then, Google has always worked to improve the PHR management service more and make it as much user-friendly as possible. Senior product manager of Google, Aaron Brown, said that to make the platform more intuitive, Google had conducted “a complete overhaul of the user interface.”
According to Brown, the revamped ‘Google Health‘ dashboard merges together the information of wellness as well as that of health. It means that at a single location user can record and retrieve both the information. He also added that the new PHR is able to maintain notes about specific medication or health condition of anyone. It also facilitates the remove any recorded information or restrict access to unwanted or outdated information. Moreover, now user can also feed their data through their mobiles.
Google revamped its PHR service on the basis of feedbacks received by users and tried more to focus on wellness and wellness goals. It helps to easily record the daily experience of a person and also set the goals.
Google has even integrated few new partners that will make collection of data and its tracking more easier. Couple of the partners are Fitbit, CardioTrainer and WorkSmart.
