New Linux Kernel adds File-System support

The most awaited Linux kernel version 2.6.30 has been released finally adding support for more File-systems, performance improvements and hardware driver support. The new kernel was made final in a newslist post by the developer, Linus Torvalds himself. It is to be made a note this kernel is the core that is used by the all GNU/Linux Operating System distributions from major companies like Red Hat and Novell.

The release has targeted the support for the two major file systems namely the NILFS2 and POHMELFS. It also supports other file systems like EXOFS and FS-Cache file system.
