Results of a new survey show that a large portion of mobile phone population in the world is decimated by kids, as they often chuck, plop and smear them with food items.
LeapFrog, a renowned manufacturer of kid-tech says that nearly 30 percent kids often change the settings of their parents’ cell phones similarly; almost parents have been found reporting that their kids often mush up the display with bananas.

Today, T-Mobile has just uncovered its new MDA Compact V that is the newest in MDA line that HTC produced. The device has a customized set of Sat Nav and widgets that we can understand a result of its pairing with CoPilot.
Specs-wise the device seems quite wise with its 5mp camera, Windows Mobile 6.1 and a 3.2” full touchscreen. It is also expected that the device will be upgraded with WinMo 6.5 in the coming days and it will be done with PC through sideloading.
The display boosts WVGA with nice 800×400 screen resolution that is awesome for videos and online viewing.
A TouchFlo interface has also been added in its widget screen that allows users to insert pre-defined widgets as well as put their own links.

New figures show that use of cell phone devices to access internet has got double within a year. These comScore’s latest stats show that nearly 63.2m people worldwide are using cell phone devices to get internet access and nearly 35% out of them use mobile devices for this purpose almost daily.
According to the figures, which were noted in 08, nearly 11m people were using their mobile phones or other such devices every day to have internet access. And now after one year, these numbers have climbed up to over 22m.

Most recently, Vodafone has proclaimed itself as the first global mobile network operator offering DRM free music for both PCs and mobile phones. This has been done as Vodafone has trashed digital music protection from its catalogue, and signing an agreement with Sony Music Entertainment, EMI Music and Universal Music Group.

Nokia seems to do some more for music lovers, as the company has decided to extend it’s Music family with some really nice additions in which the 5730 XpressMusic is the real pick of the bunch.
Aside from dedicated and amazingly functional music keys, you would also find the XpressMusic devices with nice slide out QWERTY keyboards.

It was, indeed, a significant move when Mobile CDN streamed the NBA All-Star game footage live on the cell phones last week. This first streaming live application from Mobile CDN seems to work on any wireless network Edge, Wi-Fi and 3G phones.
Apple has approved the application for the iPhone and before this it hasn’t allowed officially to access streaming apps with iPhones.

Intel and LG Electronics have announced to join hands for software platform based on the Linux Mobiln v2.0 and Moorestown silicon at the WMC in Barcelona. The coming LG device, which is a smartphone, will be the first device with Moorestown chip.
