A new Flash multimedia platform to bring Adobe flash technology into TVs, set-top boxes and many other digital devices has been announced by the company on Monday. With this new Flash system, users will be able to watch HD videos, new interfaces of the users and interactive applications on their TV sets.

Adobe also gave some details about the partners that will make the most of this technology and that include Comcast, Intel, Atlantic Records, Netfix and the New York Times.

The company has also made some changes in its technology to produce its Flash mobile version to use in the latest smartphones.  With this new mobile version, users will be able to view their favorite Flash-enabled videos on their go.

But now the company is focusing on bringing its technology into the living rooms and HD TVs. So, now the users will be able to have access YouTube videos via their TVs rather than some especially encoded subset,” says Anup Murarka, director of Adobe’s Flash Platform Business Unit.

“Some products and services are providing a subset to view online videos on TVs, but you can’t get all the content from these services, as many of these devices cannot offer every video available on YouTube,” he adds.

It was also announced that HBO.com would soon be relaunched “making extensive use of the Adobe Flash Platform”  It is told that the partnership is aimed at helping drive adoption and allowing the use of the Flash video platform on Time Warner-owned Web properties, by Jen Taylor, Adobe product manager.

He also said that the collaboration has also been formed to “foster collaboration and cooperation in some key areas, including driving innovations for rights management, driving analytics, and exploring new ways of monetizing content.”

Adobe is hopeful for the positive outcomes of the partnership. To promote this remark, Jen said, “This partnership gives us a chance to work with Time Warner across these three very different properties. It will be interesting to see how each of them embrace the web.”

According to some report of Japanese media, the company will close its TV plant in Japan along with other operational plants for TV production in the United States and Europe.

The company had announced to stop the production of its plasma panels and it will use hardware made by Panasonic instead, but now this idea has been shelved now along with its Kuro TV.

The company has already projected a loss of ¥100 billion during this year that apparently led to the decision of stopping production of solo DVD hardware, however, it’s not yet official.
