Trend Micro is a company which has been in this arena catering to the needs of high security and protection from the growing malware and viruses over the years. Over the past few years the concern for security over the internet is on the rise with the increased number of malwares and viruses. With more computers around the world getting infected there is a need for a advanced software which could actually cater to the needs of people and improve internet security.

Some of the threats to a computer and how one can improve the internet security on their computer have been discussed here. David Perry has come up with some of the threats that can have an adverse effect on the internet security.

Today the number of people using the internet has gone up to 2 billion and is rising with each day. The striking fact to know is that half of the times the computers used by these users get infected by malware which they come across through web threats and web pages. According to David Perry, Global Director of Education from Tend Micro believes that infections can be caused from social networks or banking sites or from many other locations over the web. Although a user visits these sites with good intentions to serve their use they can get exposed to internet security threats.
<p

The newly launched product by Titanium is here for just solving this purpose. The software has been uniquely designed which is smaller, cleaner and lighter than ever before. This protect runs on the system providing a better protection than any other as it protects a user from the Internet security threats at the initial level before getting infected.

This software has been specially designed for protection against bad websites and warns the user about the websites that might be infected. It has a advanced feature too which warns a user before opening an email or attachment that might be infected. Titanium can be said to be a great product as it can help in protecting a user from the rising threats of internet security and keeping you and your computer safe.

For further information on this product, visit trendmicro.com/free.

Panda introduces cloud-based free antivirus

Antivirus

Internet Security

Panda

Windows

Panda Security, publishers of Panda Internet Security and Panda Antivirus, has come with a new security protection – the Panda Cloud Antivirus beta.

The Panda Cloud Antivirus beta uses the cloud computing technology, which they call as Collective Intelligence, to detect root kits, viruses, malware and heuristics. According to the publishers, the Panda Cloud Antivirus beta is able to identify any malware in real time.

They say that its security can identify new malware in just six minutes and claims that it handles more than 50,000 new samples every day. The Panda Cloud Antivirus acts by first classifying the threats into executables and non-executables. The executable ones are the ones that need immediate attention and the other ones that can be checked later even when the computer is idle.

The new program uses about 50 MB on the hard drive and about 17 MB of RAM. From the system resources point of view, the cloud computing makes sense but what about security when the comp is not connected to the Internet? Senior research adviser at Panda Security Pedro Bustamante says that the new system breaks down the traditional antivirus and when the computer is not connected to the Internet; a local cache of Collective Intelligence is maintained.

He said that the Panda Cloud Antivirus is meant for Windows XP and Windows Vista and will have a planned support system for Windows 7; all these are free.
<div
