Initially, this cloud based digital music service will have six million songs in their catalogue and they will keep it expanding gradually.

Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity can be used through different internet connected Sony gadgets like Sony 2010 Bravia TV models, Sony Blu-ray Disc Players, Blu-ray Disc Home Theatre system and even through PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system. Users can also get connected to this music service if they are using Sony portable devices and any Android based cell phones. However, so far the music service is only available in UK and Ireland. Sony Corporation plans to expand the music service to different countries like US, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Australia and New Zealand in the next upcoming year.

Kazuo Hirai, President of Networked Products and Services Group, Sony Corporation said that they would like to expand the Qriocity services in the next year because this music service is very simple as it requires one single ID that will allow the consumers to access their music wherever they are using different portable devices. He further said that consumers can seamlessly download and listen to their favorite songs and enjoy videos giving them a different music experience.

This short video which has been conceived, produced & released entirely with know role of Sony in the process. Sony believes this step was a violation of the thoughtful & collaborative philosophy which Sony has been consistently supporting as an effort to make responsible global citizens.

Sony also believes that it has no other option rather than condemning the video in the strongest possible manner even though 10:10 had acted quickly and removed the video from their web site and also had issued a public apology. For the time being Sony has mentioned that they are disassociating themselves from 10:10.

Further Sony has taken this opportunity for reaffirming its commitment for reducing carbon emissions, the primary aim of the 10:10 organisation.
They have also confirmed that they are on the right track for reduction of the carbon emissions through its sites to an extent of 30% by 2015, which is a part of their wider ‘Road to Zero’ environmental plan.
