On the 7th of April 2010, the Sony Corporation announced to the world its unique plan to save the environment. Named the ‘Road to Zero’ plan, it aims to reach out to the environment globally and help save it from the damage being done to it today. What makes the Sony Corporation’s ‘Road to Zero’ plan so unique is that they aim high; higher, in fact, than any other corporate organizations in the same league.

The aim of this plan is to achieve a ‘zero’ environmental footprint within the next forty years. By 2050, Sony intends to end carbon emissions that are so damaging to the environment. In addition, through the use of back-casting methods, Sony plans to check climate change and promote biodiversity. They also plan to exercise strict control with regard to the use of chemicals, and focus more on conserving resources.

2010 FIFA World Cup

The new Sony 3D network CSR activities are connected to the 2010 World Cup FIFA program. There is an official Sony Group working along with FIFA as partners. They are embarking on this whole new series of strategies and welcoming of new initiatives with 3D Network, CSR programs as well as connected sponsorships with some of the most active programs that will start off from this conjoined effort.
