Pneumonia patients all over the world finally have something to smile about. The Global Coalition against Child Pneumonia is an organization that cares for children suffering from pneumonia across the world, who are unable to afford the treatment. The Global Coalition against Child Pneumonia looks after children suffering from pneumonia and provides free treatment to those who are unable to afford it. On the 29th of March 2010, the Global Coalition against Child Pneumonia formally announced the commencement of the first Annual Photoshare World Pneumonia Day Photo Contest. The photo contest was initiated for the sole purpose about spreading awareness about pneumonia, the which causes a number of deaths annually.

The Annual World Pneumonia Day Photoshare photo contest was started so that people from all over the world could submit images and photographs which would show the benefits that pneumonia patients were facing in the present day, the heightened level of awareness, and the successfully treated pneumonia cases. These pictures are intended to spread awareness about the dreaded disease it order to obliterate it. The incidence of pneumonia in children is much higher due to a number of natural and environmental factors. Children are most affected by pneumonia; it is a case of predisposition. The photography contest is only meant to depict children under the age of five.

Nikon has added yet another feather to its cap. The company which has become legendary because of its photographic equipment received an award honouring its achievements yet again. The vice president in charge of the operations and customer services, a man named Arnold H. Kamen was given the George LaCroix Memorial Award by the National Association of Photo Equipment Technicians or NAPET. This is the highest award given by them.

Kamen was given this award because of the meaningful contribution that he had made in the sphere of camera repairing. He has excelled for over three decades now, thus ensuring that Nikon maintains its high standards of customer relations. He said that he was honoured to receive this award and would strive to keep up to the standards that he had maintained all this while.
