Something ahead of I-Phones Needed in Japan

Tokyo’s Softbank flagship store received truckloads of I Phones a year ago. This store was welcomed by customers with great gung ho. People have always come here and appreciated their purchase of I Phones throughout last year. However when you look at the current year the arrival of boxes of iPhone 3GS handsets then you will only find a single person on the waiting and just a solo reporter covering this totally uneventful launch.

The boxes were soon unloaded as the store opened the doors to welcome and store then. The launch was nothing of a deal as nobody seemed to be interested in iPhones in Japan anymore. There was no official queue or rating and even the organizers who were supposed to host the launch did not turn up.

PCalc calculator app ready for iPhone 3.0

It is announced the iPhone 3.0 software update will not be rolled out until Wednesday. But this has not stopped the developer TLA Systems to update its well-regarded and most popular calculator application. This latest version of the PCalc will arrive at the App Store on Monday and has been specifically built for the iPhone 3.0 and has some salient features including copy and paste.

TLA Systems says, just a double tap or tap and hold the LCD screen of the iPhone or iPod is sufficient to copy the displayed items and paste it in another. Apart from this copy and paste there are also other features introduced in the new release.

O2 beats rivals to iPhone 3GS exclusivity

The new version of the iPhone the 3GS has raised some speculations in the market there is a tough competition between Vodafone, Orange and this time it will not be O2. But O2 confirmed to tech radar that it will be the exclusive provider of the coming release of the iPhone.

The new version is about to get released on June 19th but still no prices are announced legitimately.

O2 has also announced that it will be supporting tethering and MMS in the current release of iPhone 3GS. The users have to pay a premium for internet tethering bolt and this varies according to the download limit the user chooses.

State of the iPhone Ecpsystem: 40 Million Devices and 50000 Apps

Apple proudly announced the yet another milestone for its most popular App Store that 50000 applications are now available in the store. Apple made this announcement in the WWDC event here in San Francisco along with the news that it has sold over 40 million iPhones and iPod touches. This milestone follows the company’s 1 billionth app download milestone in April and 35000 apps later in April. These improvements clearly show that Apple is growing bigger and more powerful and is letting a note to all its competitors.

Along with these announcements Apple also went to show the new features of the iPhone 3.0. The new iPhone has over 100 features and the cut, copy and paste is the pick of them. It also has the iTunes software that allows one to get movies, TV shows from air directly. It can also be tethered to a Mac or a PC either wired or using Bluetooth.

Symantec and McAfee competing for developing iPhone apps

Well known anti-virus software and computer security systems makers McAfee and Symantec are in tough competition these days to develop apps for iPhone.

According to a report issued in the Reuters say that both these companies are looking for developing security apps for the iPhone, but it is worth mentioning that the final form of this application has not been finalized yet.

The concept on which Symantec has worked on is quite similar to MobileMe service from Apple that backs up the data of the users to provide protection against some problem eventuality.

iPhone gets first official streaming App from Mobile CDN

It was, indeed, a significant move when Mobile CDN streamed the NBA All-Star game footage live on the cell phones last week. This first streaming live application from Mobile CDN seems to work on any wireless network Edge, Wi-Fi and 3G phones.

Apple has approved the application for the iPhone and before this it hasn’t allowed officially to access streaming apps with iPhones.
