Amazon’s Kindle for the Web

Kindle for the Web

Amazon.com (NASDAQ: AMZN) today unveiled its beta version of “Kindle for the Web,” & thereby making it even more simpler for its clientele to explore latest books and authors by selecting Kindle books immediately over their web browsers. The browser doesn’t require any kind of installation or downloading. In order to go forward with this plan, Amazon has also been inviting bloggers and website owners to participate in the Amazon Associates Program and thus be a part of Kindle for the Web by embedding and advertising samples of Kindle books through their websites. In return for such promotion, these bloggers and website owners would receive an amount as referral fees from Amazon but only when purchases are made through the links established in their websites. The website for Kindle for the Web can be explored on amazon.com/kindlefortheweb and samples of books can also be accessed.

An additional beneficial feature to the customers is the facility to read the first chapter of any book for FREE by simply clicking on to the button that says so and the first chapter would open automatically. To make things more attractive, the website also allows its customers to change the font sizes as well as exercise line spacing options as per their requirements to facilitate reading. The background color , social connectivity through Facebook where one can share the books they read and the email facility add a better look to the entire packaging of the product (website in this case), all this without leaving the browser at all!

The Kindle store established and running in the US houses more than 700,000 books which includes all the New Releases and an outstanding 108/111 New York Times Best Sellers being available under one roof. Kindle has the repute of selling the most popular and housing the best and largest selection that any reader might be interested in. The U.S. Kindle Store now has more than 700,000 books, including New Releases and 108 of 111 New York Times Best Sellers.

The brand new Kindle, on the technical side offers a host of amazing features that make reading all the more interesting and a worthwhile experience. The new Kindle offers an electronic ink screen encompassing a 50% better contrast ratio, sleeker design and a body that is smaller by up to 21% but it still keeps the reading area the same, i.e. 6 inches.
