Emblematic Mergers Break Up Finally

The most awaited news has finally come when the media legends Time Warner announced to spin off its partner AOL division and become a superior stand alone company. It was also stated that before this separation could happen, Time Warner will first buy the 5 % shares of AOL which is with Google. Once this is done, Time Warner would have the 100 percent ownership of AOL and it could cast if off to a separate company again. Also news from the Warner says that it expects this deal with Google to be over by the third quarter and the final separation by the end of this year.

Now that AOL is a separate company again, it could concentrate on its lost business and will try to grow its Web based services and brands. AOL could now run as an independent publicly traded company and can focus its attention on internet advertising as well. Click here to read more

Microsoft releases Service Pack 2 for Vista

Well, many are waiting for Windows 7 launch and some are still tweaking XP in their newly got netbooks, but there is something that many are ignoring right now and this little thing is known as Windows Vista that Microsoft wants to maintain once again and the release of its standalone installers for 32-bit and the 64-bit versions for Service Pack 2 for Vista seems to suggest so.

HTC to release Android-powered handset in China

It’s really an eventful holiday especially for news related to HTC-Android phone, as a leaked AT&T documents showed that the Lancaster, a new HTC Android device will be launched in the US during August and now there are news that the company is also going to uncover an Android powered handset in China that is quite well known as the largest wireless market of the world.

According to a report published in the Wall Street Journal, this new Android-powered handset will serve as the upcoming version of the HTC’s Magic that is T-Mobile’s G1 successor and was launched during February this year.

The report also says that the handset will be customized via software form Chinese wireless carrier China Mobile as well as OPhones. Well, the name may force you to think about another smaller handset, but this time, you must keep this fact in mind that O has no more been capitalized.

Microsoft to bring Netflix in Windows Media Center
