Panda introduces cloud-based free antivirus

Security has always been a great concern for windows users with so many threats emerging every day. Panda Security, publishers of Panda Internet Security and Panda Antivirus, has come with a new security protection – the Panda Cloud Antivirus beta.

The Panda Cloud Antivirus beta uses the cloud computing technology, which they call as Collective Intelligence, to detect root kits, viruses, malware and heuristics. According to the publishers, the Panda Cloud Antivirus beta is able to identify any malware in real time.

New spam worm busts open Gmail CAPTCHA

Recently, researchers discovered a new spam worm which automatically cracks the Google’s CAPTCHA and creates multiple Gmail accounts. All these Gmail accounts are automatically sent to the hackers for their spamming purpose and once if Google find these things happenings then it automatically blocks the IP of that particular machine which is infected by this worm.

The worm is named as W32.Gaptcha.Worm and it follows a series of steps in creating multiple Gmail accounts. First of, it connects to the server and checks for internet connection and once if found it is connected to the internet, it automatically runs the Internet Explorer and opens the signup page of Gmail for account creation.

And lo! The Peace Crew, which is quite well-known as a website defacement group, has succeeded to hijacks the DNS of some high profile websites in New Zealand. According to Zone-H, it’s a SQL injection in Domainz.net that based in New Zealand. It redirects sites visitors to page that features anti-war messages and Bill Gates infamous photo.
