On Friday details of 10 inch Aspire One were given by Acer.
The said netbook is having Windows XP as OS and the hard drive provides 160 GB storage capacity.
It was told on Wednesday by a spokesman of Acer that they are planning to bring the 10 inches Aspire with Linux. He said, Acer Aspire One “will be available with XP or Linux, and HDD or SSD”.
This way it has been confirmed that Linux will be having Linpus distribution. The netbook will have a capacity of 16GB SSD. It is noticeable that the initial versions of this netbook will not be coming with this newly decided feature change.

The UK government says that all homes in UK must have access to faster internet by 2012.
A report on digital future of UK has also planning for public service broadcasting. UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown says that in the present era, digital technology is as important as bridges, roads and trains were during 20th century.
However, the Conservatives say that this new report didn’t promise any new action, and according to Lib Dems, it’s nothing but an utterly damp squib. While Culture Secretary Andy Burnham says that it will be quite helpful to have a competitive low carbon economy during the coming 10 years.

Gmail coming offline, Google’s recent rollout electrifies users and market giants. The amazing new feature enables users to check their mail even if they are not connected to the web.
Initially this feature is on test basis. The new feature of Gmail has been disclosed on the Google Gmail team blog. It is stated as, “Offline Gmail is still an early experimental feature, so don’t be surprised if you run into some kinks that haven’t been completely ironed out yet.”

HP ProCurve at the moment expanded its much hyped adaptive networks vision by making an announcement about the two initiatives that would enable the customers to deal with the quickly altering project data centre needs and perk up the competence of their network applications.

IBM recently came up with the news that it is working in co-ordination with the six universities in order to control IBM Blue Cloud results to accelerate ventures and investigate enterprises that were some time ago inhibited by time, imperfect or engaged resources, or weighed down IT systems.
The Cloud Computing Initiative are driven by three universities and would unlock its cloud network to restricted businesses and industries to experiment functions and complete an assortment of tasks, together with seismic modelling and the examination for oil and gas.
